People keep harping on weight here, but customers aren’t cross shopping based on weight. They’re shopping on the by products of weight, like handing and fuel economy. On the other end of the spectrum, increased safety features tend to add weight. Fortunately powertrain improvements have been able to supplement a lot

You know.... there is a lot of blame on this guy who was constantly trying to get hype in order to fund his new company before there was ever any substance behind it, but.... I think it also speaks to the amount of money people are willing to pump into a company that has shown... nothing. No real evidence of a

That comes with the territory. But honestly, as with every failed compromise, I’m sure everyone walks away criticizing the other for why something went wrong. Designers often walk in with a fantastic design, but after engineering and finances get involved, it can really dilute the design. So, I wouldn’t worry about it

I’m 31 and just picked this up again this year after doodling all the time in highschool. I’m an engineer now, and probably have more merit there than I ever will drawing, but I love the creative outlet. And to be honest, as a hobby you’ll probably maintain more joy out of it for longer than if it were a job.

Congrats man, it’s extremely competitive. But everything takes perseverance. Keep at it.

Umm... I guess being nearly the same size in one dimension is being “as big as”

According to my linkedin, they’re advertising jobs. No way am I joining that sinking ship though.

Cool Deadspin article.

I’m also curious about this. Depends on the contract involved. If LG made the parts out of spec, then they would be liable. If it’s due to a design issue, GM could be at fault. In reality, after all thepolitics, it’s probably somewhere in between.

For a bit of context here, NHTSA requires that the manufacture notify them within 24 hours of the time they find out about the issue and then 60 days to have a fix in place at the dealership.

This is actually very interesting to me. Especially since you have the data. By what means are they increasing the price? Is it directly to the MSRP, or are there sneakier, less noticeable, methods involved here (ie fees, discontinuing cheaper content, etc)?

Well, I don’t think anyone is getting “screwed” in this sense. Tesla just seems to be adjusting their price to keep up with changing costs in the supply chain and other business metrics. The point OP is saying is that Tesla doesn’t “screw” people over because they don’t have to bake in additional costs for the dealers

Yeah, I looked it up after the fact. The initial one was grey with blue accents, this one is blue. Blue is so synonymous with Bugatti, I think my brain just kind of melded previous blue Bugatti’s and the Divo. I guess it’s not really news in my mind that Bugatti made a blue Bugatti. Still love this car though.

From what I understand, their toolboxes and jacks are legit. Otherwise I’d say if you’re only going to use the tool a couple times and it won’t potentially endanger your life if something goes wrong, go for it. But you won’t see me getting any power tools at Harbor Freight.

Tires are literally the most important part of a vehicle. It’s the only thing connecting you and your vehicle to the ground.

Only downsides being exterior and multiple owners.

This thing is Dope. That being said, my memory may be failing me but it doesn’t seem all that different from the first Divo they showed.

Seems like an issue where the the line of what should be able to repaired and what shouldn’t can be quite blurry. It will be interesting where they draw the line.

It’s like the population got used to open streets with no one else on the road, started driving recklessly, and never looked back.

Well insurance prices can’t get any higher in Michigan, right? .... right?
