I recently saw one turn onto a road locally. At a distance I thought... “Is that a Tesla? No, that looks way better than a Tesla” Then I realized it was a Mach-E. I’ve got to say it looks really nice in person. Even better than the pictures. I also think the fact that it was in black helped.

If companies start hiring regardless of where you live, I wonder how that will affect pay based on where you live. Will someone is SF have the same wage as someone in Detroit? And how will that affect property values?

To be fair David, you live on one of the busiest roads in the area and your house looks like mini scrap yard. So much so that when I first saw it I thought “This must be where David Tracy lives” and then identified a few of your vehicles.

Absolutely, If anything the economy will be running in limp mode until a vaccine is introduced. Just look at the latest virus projections:

I love the optimism but the current covid-19 projections do not say to me that things will be where they were for at least a year after a vaccine is introduced.

Who said these trucks would be moving across the country? How many Semi’s commute relatively short distances such as deliveries from distribution centers? I honestly not sure of the numbers, but I’m sure there is a niche to fill in the short term as they work towards long distance solutions over the next decade or two.

He seems to have forgotten about anything posted on Jalopnik prior to April:

I guess Raphael doesn’t remember anything posted on Jalopnik beyond a couple months ago:

Well on one hand, not driving and spending money on gas has been great. If I could live like this forever, I think I could even scratch the boring daily driver out of my life and just have the fun car that needs to be taken out here and there.

If Lincoln can begin to turn things around as rapidly as they did by just releasing one or two good products than Infiniti can turn it around too. They just need the balls to put enough money into the product and sacrifice some profit margins to gain back their share of the market.

Even though it’s not very well developed and has very limited options at this point, I think it might be worth mentioning Homekit Secure Video, based on the fact that the subscription is the same payment as your iCloud account. We already pay for the 200GB iCloud tier which comes with 1 “free” camera storage service.

I love this response, not that I agree or disagree, but it so perfectly encompasses the Powertrain Department’s “blame the program team” policy. Brings be back to my powertrain days, haha.

I’m sure you ca photoshop it into a better looking mid engine car too, but engineering a vehicle and photoshopping it are two completely different tasks on completely different levels. Appreciate what GM was able to accomplish given the engineering constraints.

The Morning Shift has become increasingly depressing. Especially for those of us in the industry.

Inspiration from the mugs of the Toyota FJ Cruiser, Troller T4, Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Class are all recognizable in this collection of Jimny grilles.

This is really the better approach. You can’t punish these companies for their behavior after the fact without the huge consequences of them going under, but we can definitely structure how they run going forward.

Don’t forget the supply chains who’s companies sell products to the companies going under. Their business gets cut significantly and those people lose their jobs, same thing for companies that supply things to those companies.

That sounds ideal and everything. But really, you’d be cutting off you nose to spite your face. The ripple affect through supply chains can take down many more companies that may satisfy your requirements, but now their business is potentially cut in half or a third or a quarter, etc.

I’ll feel fine when I retire in 30 years

All I can tell you is that data > feelings.
