Why is it either or? We don’t just have a list of the countries’ rules and everyone is trying to choose the best one. Standardizing requirements is a collaboration to meet everyone’s requirements. If there were a standard “safety standard” developed, each party should contribute to the end result to a list of rules

I’m not saying I agree with the car companies siding with the Federal rules, but your hyperbole is through the roof.

I think the faster these emissions requirements roll in, the more and more likely that Mazda and Subaru increase their collaboration with Toyota or even get absorbed under the Toyota umbrella.

I’m not too surprised. They’re definitely keeping the ICE dream alive with that engine. But even they are seeing the writing on the wall and pumping R&D money into EV’s. I think the Skyactiv-X will definitely allow them to kick the can down the road a little longer without having to move over to hybrids or EVs, But

Yeah... and the automakers are constantly fighting to standardize those requirements internationally.

1st Gear: The only real way to revive Mitsubishi is the Montero. Bring it back.

That’s very close minded of you David. Even the rock crawling community supports automatics after years of unjust bias against them.

Unpopular Opinion (actually the popular opinion):

It’s normal. My dad has two diesel swapped FJ60's. He’s since graduated to a Toyota Pickup “Truggy”

Please my friend, point your attention to the lovely FJ60, and even the FJ80

This is excellent. The more David gets into nice, respectable, and desirable vehicles. He’ll realize he’s been bottom feeding amongst the worst vehicles he could have chosen to litter his yard.

A one-notch downgrade, which S&P analyst Nishit Madlani has said is likely, would leave Ford one level above junk.

That’s the yeast you could say about that.

While disappointing, I don’t think anyone can be surprised.

Amen.

All of these arguments have come up for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg about 4 hours away from Miami.

Solid take!

Here is the quote they’re refering to from the president.
