Yeah, Fahy was the breakout star of this season. I didn’t even know who the actress was when I started watching and by the end she was my favorite character.

I would absolutely send friends a “these gays, they’re trying to murder me” gif from a party hosted by gays where I was getting increasingly drunk.

That’s how they live their lives.

Yeah, he needs to be ironically killed by Tanya’s money somehow.

I think Jack was supposed to do exactly what he said he was going to do, just keep Portia busy showing her around until after they killed Tanya, then take her back. She really wasn’t a problem. In fact, she might’ve even been a positive.

It think this finale should have also put Meghann Fahy in the running. The change in her face when talking to Ethan was a masterclass.

He actually seemed legitimately sad about what he knew was planned for Tanya. I think that’s why he stayed behind at the villa, even if he wasn’t disapproving enough to help Tanya escape or even warn her.

Maybe it will be like the emails you get from an airline offering you 200 miles after they’ve ruined your vacation and put you through hell: “Dear Mr. Hunt: We are so sorry your wife passed away after a brutal gangland slaying while staying at our resort. Rest assured that this is not the level of service we aspire to

>>Also, how did we not even get an actual Laura Dern cameo? Might she, perhaps, be the DiGrasso we see in The White Lotus season three?

I don’t think Valentina got played. Mia is a transactionalist, purely so. She never promised Valentina a rose garden, just a night of self-discovery. Mia kiboshed the idea of a future relationship and Valentina rewarded her honesty. Theirs may be my favorite relationship of the show.

MAJOR POSSIBLE SPOILER - Even for those who’ve seen the finale!

I was kinda hoping for/very afraid of the reveal that when the Di Grassos went to find their relatives, they discovered that Lucia was related.

You missed the point of the family reunion scene. It’s supposed to be making fun of clueless Americans going on these family ancestry trips to Italy expecting some kind of happy scene straight out of a Barilla commercial and other stereotypes. It was hilarious and perfect.

I mean, even if you were offering up your body, you’d be renting it out, not selling it, since you still have it afterwards.

I mean... out here beyond the 4th wall, that photo was 100% a young Jon Gries. Not even debatable.

Surprised to see no one mentioning this: I think Ethan blacked out and lost time. He was in the pool, the camera fades to black, then he’s in his room with the others banging at the door. I think that time jump make be hiding something important.

I don’t think it’s a grift as much as just doing business. It’s the job of finance guys (and the industry is mostly guys) to get rich people to invest with them, and that includes friends and family.

Cameron and Daphne are being set up as grifters, right? They want Ethan to “invest” his money with Cameron; and later Daphne gives Madoff as an example of the sort of person Cameron works with. An expectation to be subverted..?

One thing to remember thematically from last season is that this show doesn’t have must interest in justice/karma. Spoilers from S1:

The couple of small details I found interesting in this episode were:
