All of those things you mentioned are big problems. I’m sure you would find many on this site who agree. You would also find many who would say that those problems are much, much larger than some American Idol asshat being called “white”.

Boy is a loaded word for black adults in the south, come on! Also, if the word “boy” was really the objectionable part he should have fucking said so! He clearly took issue with the “white” part, which is insane.

Exactly! If I get called “that blond girl” I realize the person is using a descriptor. It is not the same as someone saying “that bimbo” or “that dumb blonde”. Pick your battles, assholes. Better yet, realize you really don’t have any to fight.

We have to remember that FLOTUS grew up on the South Side without the advantages of many of her peers at Princeton and Harvard. She got into those schools based on her smarts, and that is important. God I’m going to miss her.

I’ve met one of Bush twins, she was really lovely and my mom (who is a giant liberal) said that Laura Bush is a lovely person as well. The Trumps are garbage people, always have been, always will be.

But our current first lady is all of those things! Plus, Michelle has degrees from Princeton and Harvard! To my mind those words don’t stand for white. Then again, the word I would use to describe our current FLOTUS is BADASS!
