Likewise. I got to meet him once and he was absolutely the most charming entity in the known universe.

The Khan figure’s hair looks familiar somehow.
Tom Baker was my first Doctor and this broke my face.
I don’t think this rumor holds much water, but had to drop in and call you remiss for not referencing the absolute tear jerker/glee inducer that was Tom Baker’s return in the 50th anniversary “in years to come you might find yourself revisiting a few, but just the old favorites”
This is an absolutely lovely performance from her as well. I know she’s being doing Peri for donkey’s years over at Big Finish (trust me, I know - I’m almost 180 episodes into recording/co-hosting a podcast dedicated to Big Finish) but it’s just lovely to see her get a shot at this. Her own little Night of the Doctor.
That’s been my head-canon for a while. One of the things 10 did before regenerating, somewhere between dropping off the lottery ticket for Donna, and saving Martha and Micky. I mean, he’s trying to tie up loose ends anyway, may as well tie up one of the biggest ones he messed up off screen.
And there’s no reason why he…
. . . is that you Matthew Waterhouse??????
You can’t talk about show intros without bringing up Cowboy Bebop:
I don’t know if I more want Vinder or Kate Stewart to take down the Grand Serpent. Or maybe I would be happier if it was Bel or Osgood. Hard to say really. I do really hate him though, as intended
The most disturbing thing about this for me is that he’s reading it.
Let me - the Resident Bitchy Gay Scot - assure you: this man is a fucking arsenugget of gloriously horrific proportions. And he is talking utter and complete pish.
It’s a slight reassurance that reactionaries just have the smoothest brains no matter where they dwell. If your take is “boys aren’t growing up with a specific fictional hero to look up to,” I have to assume that cranium of yours is neuron-deficient.
A lot of the stuff with the Doctor Who Flux storyline I am still undecided if I think it works or not. Kate Stewart returning however I am for sure happy about. Glad that she will get to work with Jodie Whittaker (presumably) too
Either that or they’re trying to backdoor pilot another spin-off attempt with Vinder and Bel which, honestly, I might go for. The actors are solid and I can’t imagine it would be any worse than Class was.
For a second, I was kind of hoping the US remake was gonna be called Last Train to Clarksville.
Yes, but who is cast as the Librarian?
Re the rando woman: I think she was actually in Norway, which is a good place to find a red herring.
Is it wrong that I associate Vinder with that other dreadlocked space hero Lister.
I truly don’t understand most of what happened here but I’m pretty certain I love Vinder. he immediately feels like more of a layered and intriguing companion than, well, any Chibnall era companion has in three seasons. really hope he has a big part to play in the finale because he’s absolutely fantastic
I like how to honour the death of Dean Stockwell they decided to do Doctor Who Does Quantum Leap.
