I didn’t know it was connected to the term “gypsy” until reading this article. I wouldn’t even have known (without a google search) that it was spelled “gyp”, as I believe I’ve only ever heard it uttered verbally. Also, in the US, I’m not sure most people realized there was a specific racial group the term “gypsy”…

It actually does mean he’s innocent. It was alleged, it was investigated, and he was acquitted. He’s not my hero. I just understand how the legal process works. It means more than your opinion.
Turns out unsubstantiated allegations that never lead to any charges let alone convictions, especially where there is at least some indication that it was an attempt at extorting someone who was just a weird dude isn’t enough to cancel someone.
