Hard pass. The game is an MMO first, and I am perfectly fine letting it be grand as just that, for those who want a multiplayer experience. A tacked-on single-player experience does not interest me as a consolation prize. Would much rather play any of the other games that were built for that from the ground up.

My inner Elder Milennial just cringes at the mere mention of an MMO, even if it has the trappings of Final Fantasy. Was not even secretly hoping that XVI would have sunk the Yoshi-P boat. Just not a fan.

Honestly, this kerfuffle has more to do with Musk’s clearance than anything. If he speaks about his drug usage in the public square, it is very hard for Uncle Sam to justify his personal clearance, no matter how vital SpaceX and Starlink are.

I wonder how they will be able to watch Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson without tears in their eyes. Downfall of their idol is fertile ground for an even uglier one to be put on a gilded pedestal.

Eating lunch while reading a Jalopnik article that drew heavily from Devil Wears Prada was not even on my *wildest* gay bingo card for 2024. What a delight, even if the paint jobs are bleak lol

G/O media is really in dire straits across the board. Lifehacker was sold. Jezebel was sold. Both within the last year-ish timeframe. A friend of mine wrote for Lifehacker for years, and yiiiiikes the battles with the G/O union and the c-suite were ROUGH. Deadspin has no comments. The Root has no comments, and

Now I am not a parent, nor will I ever be. But, if I had a kid, they’d probably play Final Fantasy Mystic Quest the minute they knew how to read, to get down the basics, and then graduate immediately to playing FFVI (as it is the best) and then have them team up with Avalanche and friends in FFVII. From there, the

My God, you are a FF-Fan of exquisite taste! I tip my hat to YOU. FFX-2 is the best 3D FF in existence.

Just going to go out on a limb and figure that if one has the means for a PS5, a sufficient TV to play their PS5 on, AND a PS Portal...they’ve got the means for another TV and the space to display it. Again, most TVs now are quite cheap, and come in a variety of sizes, that you can put just about anywhere.

Almost like the bean-counters said, “The more convoluted this thing is, the more money we will make.”

This whole games-as-a-service model needs to be burnt down to the ground. We’ve let them have it their way with that model and DLC and sh*t is outta control. You own nothing, and when the game inevitably has an EOS, you get nothing, not even any silly trophies you earned, and they have all of your coin.

Pokemon Sleep lol

Maybe conservatives should make their OWN social media networks.....oh wait, how is that Truth Social coming along? Twitter and Facebook are the best firehoses these conservatives have to spout misinformation, disinformation, and outright lies, so why would the current conservative majority get in the way of a little

SMTVengeance is the only announcement that matters before whatever is being announced on Pokemon Day. That is all.

I’ve paid for Reddit Premium for years now, and lately, I have been very VERY on the fence about continuing to do so. I rather liked the old Reddit gold system, where I could use some of the coins I got monthly to “reward” great posts with a little badge or Reddit gold of their own. The new system, where each and

Now THAT is a silly “feature.” Is that to tell the wife good morning when you are away? To tell minions to get to work before you are in the office? Most humans are barely capable of conversation as it is, and you want to allow the option for MORE asynchronicity? Hard pass.

Removable batteries. Thinness be damned.

Curiouser and curiouser. Mayhaps they are planning on leaning into a digital-only, TV-dockable Portal-esque console for their next generation (Basically, a Playstation Switch, if you will). The amount of money and pasta thrown at the wall for AAA titles and their increasingly complex graphics is daunting, as any wrong

Would prefer the market just outgrow this fad before Apple feels it needs to iterate on this ridiculous trend.

Can we just NOT with this gimmicky, faddish trend!? Why is Apple, of all companies, chasing after the lowest common denominator in tech?
