From 80 to 90, the material curve gets absolutely brutal for diminishingly less gain.  For most characters and weapons, it’s not worth that final push unless it’s your main team or you're REALLY bored.

For what it’s worth, you can do well in GI with regular 4-star units.

And if the customers started trashing the pizza parlor in rage and defacing nearby business would your response be, “Their anger is understandable?”
