The contrast between Gabriel visiting the statue of Lincoln (all white and lit up) with the one Oleg sat near (dark) was amazing.

"No need to be nice to people if you aren't going to buy anything - you're just wasting their time." Loved that comment.
Because the US was indeed exporting rotten and substandard grain at that time. It's very easy to see that as being intentional when you're a nation that has issues with famine in the past.
You don't think it's possible the (mostly broke) Soviet Union would be using 1960s planes in 1980?
Well the problem is that they didn't know this was being done for good. It's not as if they are happy about what they did.
One could argue that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
Loved how she worked in the men that were going to mug her and Paige so that it would not come across as a lie to the shrink.
Same here. After he saw the grocer in the cell and he realized he was also a prisoner in his own world I sort of was expecting him to jump - esp. given the look of dread he gave his mother.
Yeah, it was PG after he left Genesis.
Man I loved all the parallel scenes in this episode.
I love how certain things in shows/movies are just essentially clip art. As a child of the 1980s I couldn't recognize the person in the poster so I suspected it was a fake.
I think the super-size fries was a mistake because I only recall McD's having two sizes in the early to mid 1980s - a small fries in a paper bag and a large fries in a paperboard container that was only red. The value packs didn't start until 1986 or so.
It's impossible to control nature. That's why we would never do such a thing.
Yep. It was either they accept my printer's output or they could accept my terrible cursive. The printer won :)
Super-pests would not be a good way to take down an enemy as there's no way to ensure the pests would not find their way back to destroy your own crops.
So glad this is back. Can't stand TWD any longer.
The 80s were great - that was when the burger places actually cooked the burgers on a grill and had them ready based on expected sales. Now you get microwaved crap without a smile and it costs double what it used to.
Anyone remember when printers didn't have descending letters (like g, j, p, q, or y)? My teachers in HS hated it when I used a WP to do my essays.
I wonder what is the time frame of filming these episodes with regards to the election. Curious resemblance indeed.
