Both. There's a "cross rush" system, which is a fancy name for being able to chain light, medium, and heavy attacks (and hit a heavy attack one more time for a launcher), or you can do SFIV-style links. You can mix and match within the same combo (eg., link into cross rush). You can't cancel cross rush chains into…

So, how much extensive testing have you done with this game and the gem system?

They actually said a while back that the speed gems only affect movement and demonstrated on a stream that you can't make Fuerte-ish run-stop-fierce loops out of it.

It's a fair assumption based on past business, but they've said several times they'll only have one disc release and support it with DLC. I don't know how much their word on this means to you, but it's likely that their contract with Namco only licenses the use of each company's characters for one game.

I'm abstaining from video games until GT5 comes out. My body needs to be pure for the experience.

@surft: Think of it this way: In 3S, Yun could save up two super stocks relatively quickly. In SSFIV, he'll only have one super stock and it takes much longer to fill up.

@Mit: You might be jumping ahead of things a bit. The profit Capcom made from DLC costumes was subsidized to provide things like championship mode (SFIV) and tournament mode (SSFIV) for free. (Sorry I don't have a source for that, but it's been said in interviews.)

@란: I really wanted to see Daigo vs. Infiltration too. His Akuma was awesome, but I think he took a few too many risks with those resets. Very big props to him though. What a showing. He had some really gutsy plays against Vangief as well, getting up in Zangief's business like that.
