This is exactly what I do. Invest in a few more gym towels and bring 2 with you: one for you to use during the workout, the other to leave on your seat for the drive home.

Sure, there is a small handful of those whose genetics cause them to retain weight. But by and large (pun intended), overweight people routinely consume excess calories. They may not eat "worse" than the average American, but something in the equation is not balancing.
