They don't define what maximum recommended RPMs is. If that's their warranty administration setting that number, could be some arbitrary BS well below the redline. Who knows without specifics.

Maybe the last two will help, but  I don’t think the development costs of selling dozens of us manual cars is going to help them at all.

It is a warranty not insurance and there is no such thing as full coverage on any automotive warranty.

Missing a shift will absolutely do it

the engine had been red-lined multiple times

As it turns out, the charging infrastructure is still pretty light north of the 49th parallel”.

I dare to bet, after those troubles and problems, they still gonna end it with “still love the Cybertruck though”

Well considering there don’t appear to be any EV charging locations between Fairbanks and Prudhoe Bay, which is 350+ miles as the crow flies, I suspect the odds are HIGH, like Snoop Dogg high

All “You should have had this independently inspected” aside, a quick look at their Google reviews shows this place isnt a stranger to this crap.

Former Third Gen Firebird owner here. They’re not comfortable or well built, but to say they don’t handle well is a bit of a stretch.

I’m absolutely sure they sat on the CT from its unveiling in 2019 until the beginning of 2023, then speed ran its development and testing. Some automakers test their cars for years and millions of miles. I’d bet they “tested” the CT for a couple months and drove it a couple thousand miles before putting it on sale.

This car is an interesting industrial case study in how much you can use your customers as beta testers. Between the pedal slipping, the wheel covers destroying tires (indicating less than a couple hundred miles of road testing before sale), bad build quality, etc, this has to be the single most unprepared automobile

He should stop making payments and let the bank repo it. 😁

You should try getting in touch with the guy to tell him this stuff. Some of it he may know already, some of it could still be helpful. It doesn’t sound like an expensive legal battle would be in the cards for him, and that sucks because the dealership needs to be held accountable.

There is a lot unreported.

Hovey Motorcars says their insurance doesn’t cover the loss of the vehicle because they didn’t own it.”

Yeah, I don’t care what the dealer tell me. I’m calling that insurance company directly. How can a consignment dealer not have insurance that also covers vehicles that are under their care, custody, and control?

Yep you have to go to the linked article to see that. Also you can pretty much see anything from space these days, so I feel like that term is sort of outdated. It’s more like “you can see how full all of their lots are vs last year from satellite imagery” or something like that. But you know...clicks.

Story about seeing Tesla cars from space includes no images of seeing cars from space....

I’ve said before that Tesla’s biggest advantage was the Supercharger network, but since that’s been opened up to anyone, people who want an EV are no longer funneled to Tesla.

Sure, bud. It’s the Porsche owners who have fragile egos. Not the vapid man-baby who buys entire companies on a whim (only to burn billions by failing by every conceivable metric) and his bootlicking fans.
