Naw, this one I'm ok with. Use it sparingly and only on cases with egregious conduct and zero possibility of innocence.

We just don’t know all of the facts. We’re only hearing the portions that the lawyers want us to hear. But I imagine if Amber’s lawyers cannot establish good cause for her to violate a Court Order, yes there will likely be sanctions. I say likely only because Judges have almost absolute discretion on how to handle…
Yes, one of the first questions I ask any witness is: have you taken (or failed to take) any drugs that could affect your ability to testify. I won’t take the deposition of a person who isn’t in their right mind because they are not competent to testify and therefore their testimony is essentially meaningless. I would…
I’m not entirely sure but in my experience with family law what’s going on here is that Amber is trying to get the most money she can out of Johnny and he is trying to give her the least amount of money that he can. And in the meantime, she does not want to testify under oath about their relationship.
Yeah, that sounds more like a mediation than a deposition.
It is absolutely possible that they were negotiating. In my experience, I’ve never done that (negotiated the morning of the deposition). But I can see that happening in this situation. But if that was the case, then I wonder why his lawyers are saying otherwise.
Yes, of course. Technically a deposition is a court proceeding but ultimately in an actual court Judges have a lot of discretion. Some judges will fuck you up for being one minute late, others will give you some slack. Depends on the judge. Depends on the proceeding. Depends on the excuse. As for depositions…
Cool.
HAHAHA. I wasn’t sure if this question was real or if it was just a boring troll or what. Meg Swan is the name of Parker Posey’s character in Best in Show. BUSTED! I am not Shannon Doherty. BUSTED AGAIN!
Lawyer here, I am so confused. First, a Saturday deposition is exceedingly rare. Second, she’s lucky they didn’t call it a day after waiting an hour. I would have and then put it on the record that she’s a no-show, sought sanctions, etc. Third, as someone who has conducted hundreds and hundreds of depositions, unless…
I think they’re both abusive. It’s a tough call. Her well documented history tells us that she is likely not innocent here but that doesn’t mean that this instance she was also not a victim.
Holy shit, is that Khloe? She looks nothing like herself. Sad.
All of these people cried from the finale of “Stranger Things”??? That was...not my experience at all.
Many of us cried with joy. Not sure why you felt otherwise. Perhaps you had a shitty day? Perhaps you didn’t watch the roll call?
I’m assuming you’re not a lawyer. She likely works in an at-will state which means they can fire her for no reason or any reason, so long as it is not discriminatory in nature and she belongs to a protected class (i.e. a woman being fired for getting pregnant, a Jewish person getting fired for asking for Yom Kippur…
:( :( :( :( (Not enough frown faces for this comment)
I love dogs but her dog needs to be put down.
I tend to agree. I think that she’s still using a lot, not (appropriately) medicated, and also in a toxic relationship. I don’t go around blaming victims, but her relationships appear to frequently involve violence. The common denominator is Lindsay. It’s never ok to hit someone, but I do wonder whether she’s also an…
I don’t. She seems like a terrible person - substance abuse, mental illness or whatever - she’s a dick.
At the very least she was trying to have a 4th child. Which is a lot.
