THIS is a coffee table book I would buy, and display on my coffee table.

I live in DC and refuse to travel to NYC via any other mode of transportation. Did the bus when I was a younger, poorer man but at this point the extra 40-60$ to take the train is worth every penny.

Amtrak does some pretty fantastic retro inspired advertising and it's a FAR more pleasant way to travel. When I'm rich enough to not need to be anywhere in a hurry, I plan on taking the train everywhere.

ConsoleOS (http://consoleos.com/) running Android L + Windows 10 on a Lenovo Yoga is going to be my next setup. I've hung on to a low end macbook air 11 for about 3 years waiting on the retina stuff to drop. It's an amazing bit of hardware but by all indications the yoga improves on the whole model.

just to clarify you're saying uber drivers have thin margins, not the actual service right? Uber prints money.

I'm sorry that you guys have to wade in to this comment cesspool to defend yourselves.

I wish I had more stars to give you. So civil!!!!

Just pointing out to anyone else that's interested, it's a 13" laptop. How does a screen that big work out as a tablet? Anyone have experience? I feel like an ultralight 11" laptop with a similar flip mechanism would be the ideal hybrid. Hope they come out with a new Surface Pro with these M chips.

Yeah, you're right. I can continue to dream, I guess!

How does that work? Ipad can run iphone-only apps, but the plus obviously can't run ipad apps. Correct? I think the retina mini with lte is where I'm leaning for next go-around.

Sim slot on the side, microphone on the back?

I want apple to put out a gaming console so badly. If they would release a 500$ system with real horsepower and a way to run iOS AND OSX games natively they'd crush the living room.

That's basically a gaming PC with a higher end nvidia card + a shield tablet and controller. No?

That's good to know! Hoping for a thinner / lighter fanless hardware revision... that might be my sweet spot to switch back over from the macbook air I've been using for years.

That thing is hideous though. Hopefully they drop a new model with this GPU and a more pared back design... that huge green logo is ugly as sin.

Really? A SP3 really would be ideal but my OG Surface Pro's trackpad was horrendous. It kind of put me off of the entire concept. At this point I'm going to assume the GTX980M will make its' way in to the newest macbook pros. Might just jump on that, and run boot camp as needed for gaming.

He's one of those people who thought OMG M$ SUX was a funny sentiment 10 years ago and has kept his head in the sand ever since.

A combo of a laptop supporting this + a small tablet like the nvidia shield would be a pretty great setup. If someone could build a beefy gaming PC with a trackpad that works as well as OSX I'd be on board in a heartbeat. Hoping razer can squeeze one of these things in a new model (less ugly) blade.

Yea, but ios has a much more robust tablet and gaming ecosystem. I'm already invested in to that side as well, so the premium is worth it to me. The iPads with LTE are so stupid expensive though!

Anyone have a way to smoothly push pocket articles (maybe one with a specific tag) to a e-reader kindle? I've tried a few services and haven't found anything I love.
