Sorry, I meant to say it "SHOULD" have arrows. Metro does not unfortunately.

DC resident checking in. Metro entrances should all have an arrow pointing north. DC is a fundamentally easy city to navigate, it's all a big grid. So if you need to go west, and the arrow is pointing 'up' just hang a left and you're on your way!

Is that why dexters sister is always so annoying to me?

Um until your 2 year old iphone stops getting iOS updates, or partial / flawed ones? Or the fact that newer OSX versions aren't backwards compatible with older x86 hardware, even though you can run windows 8 on old old old old machines and they will run as smoothly as XP.

This is a complete POS of an app. There are bus routes that don't exist, and I don't think have ever existed on washington DC's maps. It's like they transposed london's tube system over the city or something. Awful awful awful.

Not really sure your average 'OMG GIZMODO R APPLE FANBOIS!' commenter is going to get much use out of these.... funny that they offer them though. And everyone knows water is free in the dorms, so no need for TP. Just hop in the shower!

Downloaded it, ran a few sample public transit routes to see if it actually worked. It did not, and spit out random bullshit routes that do not exist such as:

You've purchased 700$ worth of rock band songs???

Where is their consulate at in this matter? I don't understand. I understand the Czech Republic isn't a big swinging dick of international relations but they absolutely should be able to help with something seemingly trivial like this, unless there's more to the story.

What the hell is the URL to the mobile site???? I keep trying m.gizmodo.com and getting the full site. It drives me insane.

Spotify, chrome, airfoil to use the surface with airplay devices etc. utorrent, XBMC, the list is endless.

So is the camera set to just zoom way the hell out? I'm not doubting the achievement, but holy cow that would get real disorienting quickly.

I've been to IAAPA a few times, it's the theme park tradeshow in Orlando every year. They have a big section for haunted houses. Very cool to see the high tech scares in a sterile corporate environment.

I definitely get what you're saying, but man the overworlds in deus ex felt so small. The ambiance was great but they were just so self contained..

When I was looking at building an HTPC last year this would have been very tempting to me. I know most PC gamers get their proverbial panties in a twist at the very notion of NOT building a PC. However for small form factor PCs (say, for folks who don't want a hulking blue LED laden monstrosity next to their tvs)

I saw this too and texted a buddy to laugh about it. Of course COD kids would be on board with drone strikes. Yes I'm in favor too but it seemed like almost every other question was approximately a split decision.

I have a really beefy HTPC for gaming and heavy duty work.. in addition I travel a lot for work (with two long stints in november) so even the 1.5lb I'm losing switching from an MBA to a RT surface would be nice. It's a total first world problem, though and I think a pro surface is still a better option for me.

All good points. I was all set to pick up an RT but now I'm just waiting and hoping that some sort of morsel about the pro release date will be dropped soon.

All they've announced is it will be released approximately 3 months after the RT. Disappointing because that means its' totally dodging the holiday season - I had planned on flipping my macbook air for the surface pro and would have gotten more money on craigslist had it been before the holidays.
