I've been on like... 5 okcupid dates in my life. All five resulted in hooking up, one of which I dated for a while.

Owen I'm sure you're going to get blasted by fanboys on both sides of the aisle but this is a fantastic article. It's legitimately really funny, which I never ever see on kotaku.

Interesting - I've met several people who work for Zynga at various functions. They've all spoken really highly of the comany. And these are low level artists, that kind of thing. Not the type of people to simply drink the company kool aid.

Can't wait for a self aggrandizing 48394839 word essay to pop up on kotaku describing his thought process.

Seriously. For 2$ this is a no brainer. 5$ is way steep though.

You're wrong. They actively removed features that existed on a current product, which is inexcusable. You obviously don't live in a city - the lack of public transit options alone is a complete and total clusterfuck.

The HTML5 option is garbage, and none of the free alternatives are worth a shit when it comes to public transit.

Exactly. He's scratching it with a fingernail and some sort of plastic-y nonsense.

Seriously. Apple users are supposedly very urbane - well they took away our public transit directions which is a huge middle finger to anyone who doesn't own a car. Fuck apple's maps they are complete garbage.

I'd take it on a phone, tablet, laptop, whatever. A- we're advertised to constantly, already. B- it would be a matter of weeks before tech savvy folks came up with a way to circumvent it.

Where's your FDIC now bitcoin?

Gizmodo: serious request. Will you guys please ask Caity Weaver to write your headlines for a day?

I agree. This just sounds like that tim rogers bro writing 86 paragraphs on kotaku about an iOS game that I bought, played twice and haven't touched again.

That's a good point, but it's really the risk you take with any venture. Honestly though cheapening your product by jumping in on ANOTHER generic 'humble indie bundle' and selling your game for fifty cents isn't the answer either. And god knows what buying an ad on say, kotaku would cost... and I have adblock pro

I get paid to know what I'm talking about! :)

It does, and it doesn't. Marketing is expensive! A fan-oriented show like PAX is a fantastic way to reach hardcore gamers, bloggers AND industry folks all at once.

GES! We do all the fun shows: E3, CES, Surf Expo (my favorite), GDC etc. Cool that you're in the industry too. Who do you work for, if you don't mind me asking?

J - I'm biased, obviously but I think my industry's side of huge shows like E3, CES or PAX would be an interesting article. We build and tear down gigantic tradeshows over the period of a few days. If interested let me know. I'd love to get you guys in touch with someone on my side.

I work for a company that does the 'backbone' of convention services.. we handle furniture rental, freight handling and all the decor on some of the largest conventions and tradeshows across the world, including several of the most well-known gaming and tech shows. This a relatively fair writeup of 'price of entry'

Man, Earthbound really was the best RPG ever. Love that game.
