Considering hate was a major part of the change Trump supporters wanted, it’s not really a lock that Biden or Warren or Sanders could have fired up their side in enough numbers to overcome.

Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren were the best bets. Biden would probably have wiped the floor w Trump since he wouldn’t have been on the defensive .... plus never discount the power of humour or a well placed quotable zinger.

Clinton failed to articulate Obama’s economic recovery and how she would build on it for JOBS.

She needed to tack left when she got the Nom. Moving to the right to try and hoover up centrists republicans is what did her in.

It’s a failure of the American education system that people think they are voting for drinking buddies instead of platforms, and it threatens the practise of democracy.

They could stay home in protest bc they could afford to risk racist groups becoming emboldened and validated. They could gamble that the candidate with no platform might miraculously create jobs bc their homes and businesses won’t get vandalized and their kids won’t be harassed or heaven forbid jumped.

I never understood the privelege of privilege (not really), until I realized ppl I know would abstain or write in or even take a chance on Trump bc the racism/misogyny really isn’t something they have to fear personally :(
