Wow, was I hoping that would work well. The voice recognition is terrible. I said “Move left” as loudly and clearly as possible... it never could catch it.

You forgot a huge consideration: price! A decent Android phone can be had for $100; a pretty good one for $200; a truly excellent one for $400. Current-gen iPhones start at $349 and rise sharply from there.

I’m 49, so I know myself pretty well. If I start taking zinc lozenges when I first start feeling that sore throat, chances are above-average I’ll be feeling better the next day. I can point to maybe a dozen instances of that happening. Was it just a short-lived bug? Placebo effect? Maybe. But if I genuinely feel…

Maybe I'm missing something, but both of these are still showing "coming soon," at least as of 9 a.m. ET. Where are they "already available"? (WANT THEM NOW!!!)

I'm surprised CS didn't mention this, but most consumer electronics at Costco (cameras, printers, even TVs) are a much better deal elsewhere. Granted, you often do get a better return policy (though I think even that has changed in recent years), and occasionally a value-add extra not included elsewhere. but people…
Ghiradelli Triple-Chocolate Brownies in a six-pack for, I think, $9. Not only a great deal, but the best brownies on the planet, bar none.
I get 100 results, not 50. Wondering why the discrepancy...?
Registry hack not necessary; there's a menu option for it: http://www.pcworld.com/article/203143…
Another trailer that gives away the whole movie — or at least the most compelling parts.
Give it another couple months. Tomb Raider (for PC) was $50 just two months ago, and I saw it for $20 the other day. And Max Payne 3 has dropped as much as 75% since it debuted last year.
Solavei is worth a look as well.
Need to be able to choose two options: TiVo and HTPC.
WorkFlowy FTW!
Slow news day. :)
