They built one but now can’t find it...
With ceramic crowns there would still be thermal conductivity and expansion issues. Plastic and ceramic would still have very different thermal expansion, and thus create all kinds of design challenges. And the thermal conductivity of plastic is really low compared to aluminium. That might not have been an issue in an…
I had one with the 4.3l V6 diesel in the late 1990's. It was terribly awesome. Had to plug it in wherever you went in the winter, and got so annoyed with the relay on the glow plugs that I just put in a manual push button. 85hp meant that you had to plan out passes 1/2 mile in advance.
I took it up Trailridge Road…
A bit too many sharp edges and exposed wires for that.
A million times this: my biggest life goal now is to figure out how to never see or talk to anyone ever again.
The pandemic has had the opposite effect on me. I’ve found I no longer want to talk to or possibly even see other people ever again. People are terrible.
Step 1: remove tracking device
This. I’d give you more stars if I could.
I can’t wait to buy a 2023 Pinto.
There aren’t enough cheap bastards to matter. $5/gal was a shock because gas had been pretty cheap for a long time. Now everyone is used to $3-$4/gal gas on a regular basis. So it is going to take the same sort of doubling and then some of prices for it to make a difference.
Trust me, your California roads are better than midwest roads. This is coming from a Michigan native you frequently travels to California. What I would give to have roads like you have. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. But at least they don't have consistent 2ft pot holes everywhere you look.
People who buy black cars have no taste. They think black cars are classy or sporty or tough looking but they just make you look like a poseur. Think about the most douchey people you know of... they probably have at least one black car.
Old cars suck! They’re dangerous and bad for the environment. They’re also always worse driving than I remembered. These days, whenever I get into an older car they feel so damn loud and slow. They should be relegated to the garage and left off the streets.
Beavers, too, and they’re protected. Legally, you have to find someone to euthanize it and the permit is expensive, but there’s not much point as another one will take its place.
I personally don’t really mind them and from seeing how they engineer their dams, they’re impressively smart. Of course, I’ve seen their work…
Bobcats could very well get treated differently. In general we’ve chased out too many predators, so keeping the things around somewhere that makes sense is a good thing.
Go to your room. You heard me.
I am sure, most people don’t know that they can just report them to the regulator, there are real impacts to drivers (and those guys definitely deserve the hit). I knew plenty of drivers that would avoid posting for pickups in certain neighborhoods for what I assessed as clearly racist reasons. I found that there was…
