but when you have Tony Montana money???

because at their age they can do literally nothing about it.

I know I’ll regret this but I will defend myself to your slander.

Sounds incredible. I’d envy you but I burn way too easily to live there.

Something else we can take a little bit of joy in is Big Oil executives were grilled in front of congress, according to Reuters.

I answered your question and you seem to think we are in a debate.

The Atkinson (I’m sure was a typo but not Adkinson)

There was a spike in crime across the board and no social media in the early 1980s. There’s no reason to believe people weren’t also acting out except people didn’t know about it as much.

The thing you are forgetting is access to social media, that is why it is worse now, everyone is a self-made expert demanding you respect their authority.

I think you’re assuming that all wasted energy goes into the cooling system.

I lived through the 80s too. There have been issues before. But, no, I think the last 3 years have been worse. Pandemics, coupled by the necessary (but obviously signifiant) government restrictions did a number on people.

Standard hybrids don’t have 600 lbs of batteries to cart around.

the last 3 years have been brutally hard on people. People are anxious, angry, scared, and frustrated. Not just by COVID (although largely it’s been COVID) - but also by increasingly violent weather and natural disasters, and now the specter of war in Europe that could certainly go nuclear.

They want cars that can survive a nuclear war, be able to shrug of a hit of a cruiseliner goin 120 mph and off-road on the moon.

I think there have been surveys to show that they have on average the worst real world fuel economy in that market because so few people were bothering to plug them in.

Tractor-Trailers have 18-wheels, 10 brakes, and many have automatic braking systems, that can stop a lot faster than most people think.

Ok great, but how does standing in the corner solve the battery density problem

since the road would be getting more wear and tear

Funny enough, it took a LOT of highway driving for this one’s heater to actually get hot. I thought some of my Volkswagen diesels were bad at warming up but this is on another level.

One ad, titled “Mom,” shows a driver talking with his mother on the phone for nearly an hour with plenty of battery life left in his Bolt.
