Park is indeed Korean - however, Grace Park has played Vietnamese characters, including one named Ng.

Her character is “one quarter Hawaiian” - which would be believable if they’d cast a darker complexioned actress ....and they hadn’t given her a Vietnamese last name.

I loved Ex Machina. I’ve seen it twice and it got better the second time and I got more out of it. I loved that it was a movie you just have to experience, then once the lights come up, you have to think it through. So good.

It’s interesting that the quality of Crowe’s movies coincide with how interesting the character’s jobs are (or if they’re in high school, which is an interesting time in and of itself).

In Hawaii, kids that are half-white, half-Asian or Hawaiian or something else (aka “hapa”) are pretty common. Hell, my nieces are hapa. The point is, they LOOK like they’re of mixed ethnicities and Emma Stone’s character…

I went to see that the same day Avengers opened because I didn’t realize Avengers was opening. I haven’t had time to see Avengers since and probably will not before it leaves the theaters. No regrets at all.
