I thought, like Patricia a couple of years back, Sandhya brought an interesting and unique POV but, like Patricia, wasn’t truthfully a complete designer. Both of them had great ideas and visual instincts - but needed to collaborate with someone with the technical skill to bring those ideas into fruition.

There’s a lot of coverage on this in the trades - search for AdWeek or AdAge and “millennials (or ‘echo boomers’) brand loyalty.” While Pat’s presentation may have been proprietary and news to him, anyone in the industry is aware of the challenges.

In fairness, it was an incredibly weak final four (well, the entire pool of designers gets worse and worse anyways) and I had to quit watching a few weeks prior because I could not stand that the Tim Gunn Save is Tim Gunn Saves A Mediocre Designer And Gives Them A Pass To The Finals Two Years In A Row.

You can’t be serious? His final collection was dreadful.

Oh yes, that stuck with me and I’m glad the commenter shared it - too often the chat can be a circle jerk of gripes. It’s nice to read, well, nice things.

Unhappiness for all!

Along the lines of handling customers with different, potentially difficult, needs that some might find cumbersome, there was this great story shared in Tom Sietsema’s weekly chat last Wednesday.

Someone should have screenshotted her Tweets from that night she went off her rocker. Just nasty. Almost everyone on that season was horrible - that’s how I ended up rooting for Alexandra. Yeah, she was very detached but at the end of the day, it was a relief to have someone so drama-averse, even though of course it

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen-ah!

Well as you say, that’s the easy answer. The show didn’t completely accelerate into unwatchable on Lifetime; the last 2-3 seasons of whoring it out to every sponsor (Red Robin, really?) was the point of no return.

Sandro, the ragey Russian. Twice, in fact - the first time over the steamer, the second when he stormed out onto the street and shoved the camera operator away.

Don’t get me going on a “When Did It All Go Wrong?” Project Runway rant!

I eagerly await the day that Swatch writes his tell all about life behind the scenes of Project Runway and gives us the “real” Tim Gunn ;)

I’m not going to reply to (and thus promote) your remarks to reggiebushlateral, but make no mistake this is in response to those comments: You are an abhorrent commenter and don’t represent the Deadspin community. Take your shitty thoughts and attitude to Yahoo! Sports.

Oh wow, how awful. Found an old UPI article on the incident.

How awful. Prayers.

Samer, according to WHDH, the injuries are life threatening.

S.L. Price’s Heart of the Game centered on the incident that killed Mike Coolbaugh and the devastating effect it had on Tino Sanchez, the batter whose line drive killed Coolbaugh. Excellent, but very sombering, read.

Yeesh, poor woman. On Jackie Robinson Day, there was a fan hit in the face in the top of the first by a foul ball along the first base line by the (Red Sox) dugout. Thankfully he was able to walk out with the medics, though I never saw if he’d been able to return.
