You could try out some goblet squats. Take one of the dumbbells, hold it up right under the chin with both hands, and perform the squat. I usually do them as a warm-up for barbell squats if the rack is in use - otherwise the barbell itself is great. Video below (uses a kettlebell, but a dumbbell works just fine):
