This guy is definitely getting sim-swapped now

Unfortunately, they have to draw the line somewhere. Do they review any time the puck ever touches the netting? What if it gets pinged around for 4 more minutes and then someone scores? That’s probably fine, right? So do they draw the line at a minute? 4 passes? Allowed to stand if it’s against the Penguins?

Yeah this is a terrible take. 100 points isn’t a superstar? I don’t even care if he only does it once. He outscored Crosby, Malkin, Tavares, and oh, 890 other people.

Couldn’t agree more. Marchand is going down the Lucic route. Lucic went from “Yeah, he’s a pest, crap happens” to “I want him GONE.” super quick.

The point is, more important than whether or not consideration “should” be given, the rule is currently written to allow the outcome of a cross-check to influence the severity of the penalty.

Lauren, I always like your coverage, but I’m just wondering... did you write this purely because Barry has been sobbing uncontrollably this entire time?

This isn’t even true. If it were true, Sterling wouldn’t have celebrated. The only people saying that players aren’t going to celebrate are people who aren’t on the field at any level.

It sounds like this whole article is “Man, announcers don’t know the rules and neither do viewers. Somehow this is VAR’s fault.” It’s not just objectively correct, it’s correct. In what world do people who aren’t city homers look at this and go “Ewww, it feels gross that they got this clearly correct call right. No

That’s actually Mallrats, but yes. Remember: a schooner IS a sailboat.

I too was expecting a “what’s a nubian?!” yelling Jason Lee

“Being part of an attack” is not an offside infraction. Infractions are playing the ball, obstructing the goalkeepers line of sight, preventing a defender from being able to play a ball, etc. It is neither offside nor “technically” offside.

Referee here, can confirm. Salah is onside, the three players who aren’t don’t commit any infraction. Not sure what burnie sees that makes him think one of them is “part of the play”.

More like Gone-kowski.

I suddenly have a huge desire to see this kind of play legal. Break their stick with a slash? Definite penalty. Launch their stick into the rafters and send that little t-shirt blimp crashing onto the ice? GAME ON.

You know, for all the people saying this kid is a coward and a sexist pig for not wanting to “treat a lady like that”, I’m just glad that, while it may be misguided, the kid wants to try and figure out how to treat the opposite sex and, at least in his mind, the bare minimum requirement is “not with physical force”.

All of these are pretty clear cut. Tadic is challenging the keeper while being offside. That’s clearly worded in the offside law. VAR can be used for any goal up until the start of that attacking phase, which has been sad publicly numerous times and is very clear. The handling is an easy call from a refereeing

Edit required: managers cannot force a substitution: laws of the game law 3 section 3, of a player refuses to come off the field as a substitute, play continues.

All of those tweets wreak of coercion and insinuating playing time to “loyal” players. All of them say basically the same thing and none of them say the simple, IF it were true, rebuttal: “He has never barged in on us.”

As a Bruins and Patriots fan, yes. A thousand times yes.

That’s why I have no problem with utterly destroying little kids in games, but I try to avoid trash talking as much as possible.
