“If the ideology is there, anything can be used as a weapon.”

Absolutely.

I'm merely venting my frustration at weak domestic weapons trade regulations.

The most deadly attacks in the US had nothing to do with guns. Planes. Trucks. Fertilizer. Gasoline.

Land that thing on a Carrier... it will be able to land backwards. In fact, there is a Russian plane (Antonov An-2) that oficially doesn’t stall and can have a fully controlled flight at 30mph. Any headwind above 30mph will allow it to fly backwards.

You don’t actually know what ‘autopilot’ means then. And neither does Consumer Reports.

If the public mistaken believe that pilots take a nap or play Pokemon Go when the autopilot is activated, how is this Tesla’s fault?

Add a model to an existing line-up that they can’t fill orders/demand for for the next 3 years? Adding models aren’t the issue, production is... and all the quality problems and shit, those too.

Don’t underestimate the stupidity of other humans.

Which is a problem I have with autonomous vehicles anyway. Even if it’s 100% automatic, the system’s going to fail at some point. What am I going to do then?

Semi-Autonomous is really the worst of both worlds. I’ll happily have a fully autonomous vehicle someday but having something that can only do 98% of the job and then I have to be prepared to somehow snap back to attention, asses the situation, decide what to do, execute, for the 2% of the time when it can’t do the

I think Tesla has opened a huge can of worms.

While I am surprised that a mistake like this would have been made, I applaud any automaker that voluntarily recalls cars after finding a potential problem and owns up to their mistakes. I like a company that takes responsibility like that and it makes me respect Porsche.

The real hack at FCA is that they still somehow manage to trick people into buying a Dodge Caliber.

I also firmly believe that “blame it on autopilot” will become a default excuse from drivers who use autopilot so that they can do things that they deem more important that paying attention, and not accept responsibility for anything that happens due to their own negligence.

I might have to rethink the whole “Chris Harris is the savior of Top Gear” thing. I don’t have BBC America, so I do what I normally do and look for a torrent of his new show which premiered last night. Nothing! Not a one. “OK, let’s give it a day.” So there was an article I saw about Snoop being on Family Feud

This is also the first time they’ve really made a hard marketing pitch outside of the UK (in the US, at least), so it’s a bit (lot) of an apples and oranges comparison. Hell, wasn’t season 22 (or maybe 21?) the first season in which BBC America aired the episodes within the week after they aired in the UK? Before that

OMG, why do people back down from this? I would travel to court every day for a month to ensure this man went to jail. I mean come one, dude tried to murder you on the side of the road for NO REASON, he needs a nice stay in one of California’s terrible correction facilities. This is why people are hyper aggressive on

PRESS CHARGES. PLEASE!!!! PRESS CHARGES!

Someone withholding material risk that can impact stock price right before selling shares is a little more than click bait. It’s very serious fraud. People go to prison for that stuff.
