Cry me a river TDI owners. In many cases they are profiting off of their purchase. Trying to manage paperwork and logistics of 300k+ cars is not easy no matter what VW did owners would be butt hurt about something.

CARB issued that statement yet I’ve seen zero proof or statement the shift program turns off and stays off. They have yet to decide if adaptive shifting programs are a “cheat device”. Not one lawsuit has been issued by CARB or any governing body to VWAG regarding the 8speed ZF Gas engine cars.

This is a class action suit from Stokar law firm against VWAG after the CARB notice. CARB has not filed any lawsuits regarding the 8-speed ZF equipped cars. When CARB issued the statement accusing vwag of cheating on all 8 speed cars they had not even spoke with vw or any other governing agency regarding it.

I’m not buying it is only done once and doesn’t come back. I own one of the supposed cheating cars and i can 100% say it short shifts all the time unless you’re driving hard.

This isnt a cheat device for emissions. Its simply adaptive shift programs which look at steering angle and/or throttle position to determine how aggressive or not the person is driving.
