I saw Zack Greinke one-hit the Mariners at Safeco. That game was just over two hours, I barely had time to get a beer down me, while a 10-8 game takes forever. MLB wants lots of action and scoring but by the nature of the game those inherently take longer than pitching duels. Maybe they should just limit the playoff…
I think pace-of-play is an issue mainly because of start time, which would be the easiest solution of all (and, because a simple problem requires the most bureaucratic solution, why they have a rule about mound visits instead of a policy on when nationally broadcast games should begin).
I’m not necessarily against speeding up the game, I’m a big baseball fan so I was already watching either way, but it just seems like Manfred is blaming the disinterest in baseball almost solely on pace of play. This will shave at most a few minutes off of any individual game. Will people all the sudden tune in…

That is not a word in my vocabulary but I now understand how it sounds on the video.
A+ Kinja
Of course scandals like this are nothing new in curling. Last year at the Tournament of Hearts the Skip of the Manitoba team was busted for having a blood-alcohol level under .12. The sport still hasn’t recovered.

So while it can be pointed out in the article that he stopped going to Wendy’s, calling them out in the headline makes…
Also a real question: can a “slippery slope” argument ever be made in good faith? If you ignore the issue at hand and refuse to address it by citing one of many future theoretical possibilities that, to me, is pretty much the definition of bad faith.
I saw that Walton was trending on Twitter last night and was genuinely worried he had died or something bad had happened to him, and then genuinely thrilled to see the real reason.
I live in San Diego and Norv is definitely missing the rainbow sandals and shorts that are the uniform of San Diegans year-round.
I was always amazed that MacAdoo was allowed around schools.
Packers fans and it’s not even close.
The whole premise of this article seems...off. Are we supposed to feel bad for the Knierims? Proud of them for skating in a circle well after watching the news? I expected them to be from Parkland, or something. I’m sure a lot of NBA and NHL players had a similar experience this evening.
I suppose banging a few off the top of the uprights at 67 yards qualifies. Seabass is a Raider’s Raider. Nuff said.
