"Still, I want to see more like it."

Agreed. The audience in the theatre I was in was very varied, and while there were a bunch of us who could follow the ball from A to B, there were definitely a lot people in the theatre who probably needed the exposition to follow along.

I thought the conflict between Tom and Murph rang false as well. I think it was supposed to be about him hanging on to his father, while she had let him go, but it wasn't written very well.

I thought it was the same symbols that appeared on the Vampires chest. Amun-Ra and Amunet.

I don't think was a an exorcism per se. It sounded like he was calling on the Apostle's glory to help this woman. It sounded more like a prayer/plea for help than an exorcism. Something he may have picked up while in New Mexico.

"Chandler is some sort of old immortal who got special knowledge or something w/ the indians"

I don't know if it's "love love" so much as she's a bit of a prostitute and he's a half drunk/"romantic"/drifter. (Romantic in the artistic sense). He seems to have an affinity for Vanessa as well.

Sometimes this feedback makes the work better, sometimes things get lost in translation.

Very true. Ragnar is as defined by the things he is unable to say as by the things he does. Travis plays the role so well that you can tell exactly what he is thinking by his face and posture, even if what he is saying contradicts.
