Because having dumb shit political views is totally irrelevant when it comes to casting

Michael Palin (aka the best Monty Python member) had a role in this film and then they completely removed his character in post-production. Boo, hiss etc
That looks like a Wes Anderson film alright. Which is fine with me as I generally enjoy them, though I realise at this point some people would rather saw off a limb with a rusty penknife than watch a new film of his!
Are you thinking of Parasyte, which is something entirely different
Never mind Birds of Prey, when will we get Birds of War
The drinking game and the slow-mo walk in The Farewell (best slow-mo walk since Guardians of the Galaxy!) are both worth a mention.
I liked The Voyager but thought it much weaker than her first two albums, so was surprised at how much I loved On the Line
(on a side note Acid Tongue is absurdly underrated)
Jenny Lewis is probably my no. 1, haven’t completely decided the rest of my top 10 yet, but Martha, Danny Brown, Vampire Weekend, Blanck Mass, Lightning Bolt, Purple Mountains and Hot Chip are all likely.
‘aggrieved white man movie’ - you are an idiot, this is a guy who was falsely accused of an act of terrorism and was vilified, you act like he’s Brock Turner or something
He’s going to be remembered as one of the greatest actors/directors in the film industry ever
Yeah, being accused of a terrible crime when you’re innocent is just something you shrug off, it’s no big deal. Also he died at just 44.
Bombshell is going to, well, bomb which will lead to various MAGA chumps crowing ‘go woke go broke lolz’. Said chumps will ignore the recent success of Hustlers, Knives Out and Queen & Slim, obviously.
I was with you until that second paragraph! I really like High Violet, I think the big dropoff happened after that one.
*shrugs* I never really care about a musician’s personal politics or which idiot they’ve dated
Doh, my bad!
Wait a minute, Grimes is great!
Just as Harry Dean Stanton smiling at the camera and walking away at the end of Lucky felt like a fitting farewell, the end of this feels like a fitting farewell to Agnes Varda. As one review I’ve seen puts it, it’s more TED talk than documentary, but it’s a good watch all the same.
Alligator/Boxer >>>> all other The National albums (none of which from this decade I think belong in this list)
Melodrama not being on the list at all is nuts, easily the best pop album of the decade. And Vampire Weekend (my personal choice for No. 1) are far too low as well. Golden Hour is very good but I still think Same Trailer Different Park and Pageant Material are better albums.
Kanye’s a good choice for no. 1 anyway, it’s…
Grimes is No. 12
‘A Separation makes the entire thing the wife’s fault’
I must have missed the bit where she pushes someone out the door and down the stairs
