He’s perfectly serviceable, as you say. But can we just leave it at that? Per 36, his productivity is essentially identical to J.J. Barea’s. That’s decent, but he’s playing overseas, like a lot of guys do when they can’t start in the NBA. It’s no cause for an elegy of what might have been, especially when what was

It’s too bad his NBA career appears to have ended, but he should be able to have a long, productive run in the CBA. The few weeks at the peak of Linsanity was one of the most fun stretches of NBA fandom of the last decade...it seemed then like he could be a real star.

The soccer comments are dickish because Billy has been told the same complaints about his writing over and over and over for years - enough with the ridiculous paragraph-long run-on sentences, the use of fourteen paragraphs to make an incredibly banal point that could have been made in two sentences, the constant

Arsenal invested heavily and wisely...”

I’ll give it a shot:

But how did VAR fuck things up?

He hurts worse than when his heart literally gave up, five years ago; worse than when his mom deteriorated past the point of being able to recognize him; worse than when he watched so many family members pass away.

Great post. And also a nice reminder of how Atletico had what seemed like a fearsome striker production line.

He was a horrible man and I’m glad he’s dead.

As a person who follows the NFL, I will just say that this might not be the path you want to go down.

hey, another anti-VAR Deadspin article! This one making a strained cancer-cold analogy.  It’s funny that as more and more people and pundits are coming around on VAR and realizing that the real problem is vague or poorly worded rules Deadspin keeps digging in. If only they had something new to say instead of rehashing

this take is wrong and bad. All VAR is doing is exposing how poorly written many of the laws of the game are. Keep VAR, change the laws.

First of all, VAR didn’t steal shit, if anything stole anything, the handball rule did. We’re two rounds into the season and holy shit am I already bored of people whining about VAR. I’ve overall been pretty impressed with its implementation. It still has a long way to go, and there’s a ton that needs to be improved

Every time a Deadspin take insinuates than Man City was somehow screwed by a ticky tack VAR decision in the UCL, I’ll be here to stridently disagree. Kun was clearly offside and the ball only went to him because Bernardo significantly deflected Eriksen’s ill advised pass. Today was entirely different. VAR was

It’s good to know that in a sport where the U.S. Border Patrol was a car’s primary sponsor, the CEO endorsed Donald Trump for president, a noted bigotwas invited to lead a prayer before a race that asked God for a Republican president, and a collaboration was done with a racist and misogynistic sports blog, that Rick

Y’know, I really wish someone would tell these sports entities to (checks notes) “stick to sports”...

If Ryan was the one who went down, then the headline would have been “Dan Quinn is a Fucking Idiot”.

He’s on the field at the same time as Matt Ryan.

These pieces of shit are even worse. no back and just as uncomfortable.

is that Kaepernick himself has already profited from the very same move Jay-Z is using now.
