I find it weird how they pay these freelancers to “recap” but not “review”. Is the only difference a letter grade? These really lose their meaning without a grade.

The Ringer : Grantland :: Kinja : AV Club

To be fair, a commenter made the extension in like a day, while the people who actually work at Kinja continue to do nothing. I’ll take any improvements I can get, because this system is basically at rock bottom.

I watched the first one online as well and really enjoyed it. Weird that the AV Club continues to have no idea who their audience is. (*whispers* it’s not Kinja and/or this snowblind layout and/or watching things on cable)

I can’t find it either, in Canada. And now that there’s only 7 people on this website, it’s harder to get tips.

This review is almost as savage as this website redesign.

This place is a ghost town.

On Alan Sepinwall’s podcast, he made it sound like The Orville was not only bad, but super bad because it was originally intended to be a half hour but FOX extended it to an hour because of all the money sunk into it (something, something amortization, something). I would still approach it as if it’s a dead body.

Kinja combined with the redesign pretty much killed this site. I keep coming back to see if the community will come back, but each article only has 6 comments.

The AV Club is stealing content from The Ringer now? Sort of seems like Ford advertising for GMC.

I wrote a hilarious post, but Kinja says I have zero posts. I guess I’m not welcome here? DO I EXIST?

I used to rely on the ‘Most Viewed’ or whatever it was on the side. I’d usually click through all those and read the comments. Now, I just see the front page and get confused.

They were reticent to bring back the community grading system last time, and now - since they’ll clearly hate their audience - it’s probably going to be awhile, if they choose to bring it back.

I hope this album is about this new website.

Can I borrow someone’s eclipse glasses? Looking at this website is like looking into the sun with all this ugly white space.
