Even if covid deaths pick up their pace and skew even further toward the rural and conservative than they already are, it would take years of continuing pandemic before those deaths would really start to make any noticeable difference in national politics.  Unfortunately.

Probably the majority position is that unisex bathrooms should become the norm so the whole “bathroom issue” can be punted and forgotten about.
