Oh man, I loved Sirens of Titan. One of my favorite of his.

I meant now.

But to just answer the question, Sgt. Pepper's by a long shot. Pretty much what Sean O'Neal wrote.

Just from that same year, I like The Velvet Underground & Nico quite a lot more than either of them. Than both of them put together.

Has anybody actually said that?

Paul's Boutique is not from the 21st century either.

I'm just discovering the Los Angeles Free Music Society and the Lowest Form of Music box set. Whole lot of interesting stuff on there to check out.

Whereas, on the right, it's the elected officials themselves who openly promote violence. But sure, let's focus on Kathy Griffin — she's real important and everybody cares about her.

It's one of those words where people go overboard trying to prevent confusion.

I've taught people the game — the rules are actually simple enough to teach/learn in one short sitting. It's just playing well that's crazily difficult.

I had, but I loved the way he became this satanic boogeyman, and how clear it was that nobody talking about his evil hell-book had ever read a page of it.

" there might be some logic in trying to deal with him."
Right, but… it's just Megyn Kelly.

I've never understood that criticism. Early M*A*S*H was way too cartoonish, middle period M*A*S*H had already had a long run, and I thought that taking on serious topics was both brave for late-'70s/early-'80s TV and totally appropriate for the setting.

"This is a show that has usually been able to have both, the pathos and the humor, but for once, OITNB’s earnestness and zaniness work against each other."

I definitely have talked with Trump fans who have no idea what obstruction of justice is.

holy crap, man

I think you have all kinds of spelling options with it, because it's been dragged into different cultures, popular usage has been various, and there are different "correct" ways to transliterate Chinese characters in the first place.

All my life, I've found things brilliantly creative before being disappointed to learn that they were references. For example, I was elated about the South Park episode that ended with a song about "jackin' it in San Diego" before I learned that it was just a direct retelling of something that actually happened,

Yeah, I'm surprised any fan of the movie slag that scene off as casually as he did here. It's one of the scenes the movie's most known for, and for good reason.

Were I a time traveller, this is pretty much all I'd want to do. Have a list of dates in my head, like when I need to get a Velvet Underground show, a Dylan show, see Can or the Silver Apples or some first Stockhausen performance or something, and otherwise just keep my head down and be a dishwasher somewhere.
