The meta-commentary part of this review is a reach, I think.

Circa 40, I don't know.

I don't love this song, but this comedian just comes off like someone without much coherent taste for music. You can set your watch to it — nobody who says "I don't want to think, I just want brain candy" is going to follow that up with interesting opinions.

I was unaware of the noun "myope," and yours was an appropriate post to learn a word from, so kudos to you.

Though it's usually not interesting when the camera is on the announcers, there are times when you really wonder what they might be up to, non-verbally.

Ohhhh, that Rolf clip is absolutely brutal.

Daniel's become more tiresome this season and harder to sympathize with—though of course that's not any kind of knock on the quality of the acting. And Teddy really has become a remarkable character.

I specifically came to the comments hoping someone was discussing go. I've never been able to muster any interest in chess since discovering that game.

Just watched it, what a devastating hour. Excellent television.

"he didn't say that shit to Jeb Bush". He didn't tell one of the major candidates that he might want to consider becoming a candidate? Wow, really striking stuff.

The "no he didn't part" is in fact the entire thing, as he simply didn't do the thing you said he did. "Not that there aren't good people running on both sides running," Colbert said, "but I think we'd all be very happy if you did run." If you don't see any difference between that and "vote for Biden," you're too

He used it as a platform to say "vote for Biden".
No… he didn't.
We're about to have numerous other examples of Colbert interviewing candidates — including Sanders. I think we can at least wait until we have those to compare with the Biden interview — in which Colbert, I think, just talked with Biden about the stuff

They may be friendly, but there's no question Colbert's talent dwarfs Fallon's by light years. Whether that translates into lower viewership numbers I think isn't very predictable.

Some movies—such as the ones he has made—are of genres other than comedy.

Who we talkin about here?

The "threat of injury" angle seems to ignore the fact that everyone familiar with the stunt already knows it all went off without any injury.

I loved the Colbert report more than virtually anything else that's ever been on tv, but I'm really enjoying colbert's sincerity as well.

Oh, yeah, being able to pull off a variety of accents is a great acting skill, it's true.

I agree, and I think it's pretty ridiculous if hearing various accents ruins somebody's ability to enjoy a movie. People have different voices.

This is the kind of article that keeps me coming to this site. Interesting reflections on something I'd have never thought to check out for myself.
