Don’t idle a diesel in a closed garage. Remember that they consume oxygen that you need to breath. It will kill you from lack of oxygen as well as augmented by a smaller amount of CO.

The best fire extinguisher for a old VW is a can of beer. That way you have something to drink whilst enjoying the engine turning into giant road flare.

Totally agree. For upper end utility and off-roading, frames and solid axles are still better. But unibody is better for everyday driving. It’s precisely why I’m going back to a Forester and getting rid of my Xterra. (That, and boxer 4 >>>>> V6)

Ugly? No, the Accamry pickup is a bit bland, but not ugly. They are growing on me. Now if only they have a smaller version with a stick....

I just scored a 2000 Subaru for $800. It ran fine and and had been fairly well cared for. It had oil leaking around the head gaskets and he just wasn’t wanting to deal with it anymore. I’ve dumped about a grand in parts in it to make a nice little reliable daily driver. I’ve done just about all the stuff he has

Good point but you have to be careful. I would not buy a timing belt kit there anymore. Some maintenance things are fine, but timing belt kits are best from the dealer. I recently bought a “name brand” kit that I had luck with previously, and the parts were not the same. Another example of “leveraging a brand”

1st Gear and Neutral: Well relying on producing rental cars eventually lead Chrysler to the Hellcat. I wonder what it will Toyota will come up with....

That was Unsolved Mysteries. That episode was about a kid that disappeared and they suspected his dad murdered him him in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere.

It hurts to watch that.

All I see is Bernard in that photo

YOu are spot on considering the trend in terrorist attacks now involve vehicles and knives. Both are much more common than drones.

I live in Kansas CIty, yet Harlem makes way more sense than northern Manhattan. Please stop assuming we are stupid.

So cell phone guy is better is what you are saying.

Thank you. No where in the ad does the seller claim “Fool everyone into thinking you have a Porsche!” This has got to be one of the stupidest side arguments here in a while.

Don’t be so quick to judge it based on oil leaks. I worked on a project at an art museum once where they had new 911 and a real Speedster parked next to each other. This was a very, very, nice Speedster. Yet it still had a drip pan under it.

Should be about right under the current administration.

Hush now. America is in the process of being made great again by making government simpler and more streamlined.

And the whole corrosion thing too.

And as a bonus, my Xterra is for sale! Save 20k and buy mine (its an auto to boot)
