Lenovo built sliders into their ThinkPad Yoga X1s and it’s been great for my clients who use them. Simple standard function.

I know this but it still bothers me that he gives out false or arguably bad advice so often.

Indeed, act your wage or whatever book that was one of his first hits reads like most self help books with short sentences, repetitive themes, and a cheery “this is simple, you’re smart for reading” attitude.

There’s a huge gulf between those that take bad loans to buy cars and someone that is debt-free and have a million dollars in cash in the bank (if you have a million dollar of cash in a bank, you’re stupid, but that’s a different topic).

On the other hand. A woman I worked with asked her pastor whether she should cosign a load for her brother. After discussing the brother and her reasons for not wanting to do this he told her “ the Bible says thou shalt not cosign”.

Exactly. I’m one of those people who takes advantage of credit card rewards, which is another thing he’s against. But I also use it only for convenience and rewards and pay my bill off every month.

But if you are someone who is in debt, cutting up the credit cards is a good idea, the rewards aren’t worth it if you are

Agreed 100%. People talk about cars being “depreciating assets,” but it’s not an asset at all--it’s an expense. If you’re going to be paying the money at all, why not get what you want instead of a compromise?

Everyone knows about the 1972 Dolphins ex-players celebrating the demise of the last undefeated team every year. Far fewer have heard about the Suicide Pact they made if the Dolphins were to ever finish a season 0-16. Let’s make this happen people.
