I don’t really care much about the plot (though the Looper-esque time travel scene was delightful). This is just by far the best-looking Marvel show. Their use of ducts and set design is reminiscent of Brazil and I love it so.

I thought it was common knowledge that McNuggets haven’t been as good since they got rid of the possum faces.

Chicken McNuggets, no—despite them meeting her criteria for being neither squirrel nor possum

He should be in everything, everywhere, simultaneously.

I fully support the new trend of if a multiverse is involved, you have to cast Ke Huy Quan

This was great, and it’s nice to have something this good as a palate cleanser after whatever Secret Invasion was supposed to be.

I don’t think covering a song is “appropriation.” That said, if Luke is claiming he wrote the song, or if she’s not getting royalties, that’s terrible and he should be sued.

I don’t like country music, but I don’t mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means ‘put down’.” - Bob Newhart

The world of Pirate Metal welcomes Ms. Morris with open arrrrrrrms!

yeah I think this really boils down to a combination of expectations and clone wars / rebels interest. as someone who has watched all of the animated star wars series I really enjoyed this. I wanted more rebels and I got more rebels. my expectations are totally met.

and it might not ever be resolved since Ray Stevenson died.”

These comments sections are always so fun. Half of the people are saying it’s the worst Star Wars show in existence, possibly the worst show ever and the other half are saying, very plainly, “I really enjoyed it, excited to see what’s next.”

I think it’s that you can imagine Tom Hardy as a child/teen or even early 20s aging into Stewart. Shave his head and slim him down and you’re most of the way there. But Hardy getting from where he is today at his mid-40s to Stewart is just not believable.

^Came here to say this.

I think this was also the one that pretended all Worf’s development on DS9 never happened? He’s back in starfleet instead of being an ambassador or whatever.

“I was born in the four lights, you only adopted them.”

To me, the unforgiveable thing in Nemesis was how it completely ignored Data’s emotion chip. They did all that work in Generations and First Contact (nobody remembers #9 so let’s not talk about it) and then in Nemesis he’s just back to his emotionless self.

Hardy was pretty deep into a drug addiction at the time, if I recall, so that’s not surprising. Glad he got past it, and by all accounts he was far from the biggest issue with that movie behind the scenes (*cough* Stuart Baird *cough*)
