I think my all time favorite Dale moment is when he’s driving at the tornado saying years ago you stole my shed, did you think I’d forget. Before immediately panicking at a raindrop. About the hardest I ever laughed at the series. Truly a shame fare thee well.

I could see it without Murphy and Tom Petty but no Dale?  Naaaaah no point.

The UN finally got him. RIP

This is going to flop because no one is going to realize it’s NOT about the R&B singer.

RIP Rusty Shackleford.

The Marfa lights came and took him away. Johnny, and Dale, are among the stars now.

I’m fine with the Hulu revival not going ahead. It wouldn’t be the same show with Johnny Hardwick and Brittney Murphy. King of the Hill was a show that captured a very specific era of American life in the late 90s. It doesn’t really work outside of that context. In the 2020s Hank and Peggy are closer to Cotton’s age

Damn. What a bummer. Dale Gribble is an all time great character. Hardwick really made that role special. I can’t imagine the revival going forward now

You could know nothing about who was behind this production, just read the cast list and know it’s a Flanagan project

Basically this. I don’t know if it’s ultimately a good idea to adapt The Dark Tower, but if anyone is going to do it and get it right, it’s Flannagan.

They had better let The Dark Tower be weird this time. And FFS first scene had better be ” The Man in Black fled accross the desert, and the Gunslinger followed”

My family is huge into Halloween going back to the 70's. I do a haunted driveway each year.

Yeah, and if they’re gonna have Peter’s sperm kill MJ, it should be by having their grotesque mutant child eating its way out of her, sorta like an Aliens chestbuster (except, you know, more like a wombbuster, of course).

Silicon Valley and VC culture convinced Hollywood that infinite growth was possible, and now it’s gonna kill their business model.

But how can you generate ever-greater value for the stock owners and bigger and bigger bonuses for company leadership if you start handing out piles of precious money to the rank and file employees...?

Reminds me of how minor league baseball players actually got team-purchased housing, after decades of five dudes cramming into one bedroom spots, when someone put the math on social that the money it would cost to house and provide for their players was on par with a single veteran player.

I tried going back through twitter to find where I saw it, but someone broke down the actual cost of the WGA demands per each studios respective most recent profits...and the HIGHEST was 0.1%, most were well under that.

Stunning isn’t even apt, the level of disgusting, blatantly offensive greed here is truly astounding.

Excuse me, but it’s the job of a CEO to say, “Yes, let’s make this” or “No, let’s not make this,” and that’s truly the most creative part of the industry and could NEVER be replaced with... let’s say... a spreadsheet combining a series of multi-quadrant elements like a schematic for a team of accountants to scan

FWIW, There isn’t a single major studio head that makes less than 200x the average of their respective employees. And, as CEOs, they need to realize that their job is actually the easiest to replace with AI.

There was a Guardian article that tallied up all the wage increases being requested, and it came up to like $500 million. Compared to over $200 billion in profit across the industry, that equates to half a percent. That’s all the hit in profits they’d need to take in order to end the strikes.
