“Why be so pissy about it all?”

- The AV Club

I don’t think the existence of two movies last year that had a big cultural impact really disproves Seinfeld’s point. In the past, it really did seem like there were a lot of movies in any given year that had real cultural resonance.

Barnie and Oppenheimer.

Jerry Seinfeld was photographed in Israel in support of the soldiers there during the war with Hamas. Later, he was filmed in New York leaving a lecture by Bari Weiss.

Second shift at the SV Club has been like this for years. Even when they bring on new people to write in the evening, it’s all snark, all the time, no matter the topic or how deserved it is.

Assistant TO the Regional Spanfeller.

I kinda feel he should get a pass since he’s never, as far as I can tell, evinced any humility whatsoever, even to the point that is was a major part of the DNA of Seinfeld.

I thought Hughes was Vice Barsanti. Schimkowitz is, like, Deputy Assistant Barsanti at best.

I feel like the things Seinfeld is saying in the interview are pretty perceptive. Schimkowitz even seems to largely agree with much of it. So why be so pissy about it all?

Discovery and Lower Decks lasted 5 years, pretty good for shows these days.

I think the showrunners are smart enough not to accelerate the characters’ Starfleet careers for the sake of a wish-fulfillment-y “gee wouldn’t it be cool if these incredibly young and still fairly immature officers captained their own ships?”. Although I could see them doing something like having Mariner be inducted

Nothing new. They did that with season 3 when season 2 was still months away.

Agreed. The first bullet point is probably the most important in this comparison. OJ kept his mouth shut outside of the courtroom and followed Cochrane and Co’s strategy. It’s no coincidence that OJ lost the civil trial when he no longer had the full team working on his behalf and what ultimately got him was his own

Don’t get me wrong they seem like abhorrent human beings, but in the parlance of the day: Alina Habba and Christina Bobb, 100% would. Corcoran and Tacopina less so.

It did lose him a lot of money

Cancer jumped out of the bushes and nearly cut his head off. But it didn’t actually do it. Some other disease did, and they will one day find it.

All the best psychos know how to multitask.

For a long time, I really believed there would be a deathbed confession. But as time went on, I think that OJ had come to accept what happened and if anything had been weighing on him he had come to peace with it.

No death bed confession?!? What a total rip off

Well now he can haunt the *real* killers from the afterlife...
