The only thing I didn’t really like about the Seinfeld finale was the ‘clip show’ aspect. It works better for a show like this but with Seinfeld, everyone was watching reruns for years by the time the show ended, so they’re seeing clips they’ve seen many times, then the episode before the finale was a clip show, then

When it aired about 3/4 of the way through I turned to my Dad and said ‘Is the series finale going to be a clip show?’

The best cameo for me was the little girl (now full grown woman) from the Doll (which aired Nov 4, 2001) — another time Larry got in trouble because of a water bottle.

Can’t wait until your brilliant show comes out ...

I think no matter what Larry David does it is ingenious. (You can say “work of genius,” but saying a show is “genius” is poor grammar.) I loved this season. I loved Seinfeld. I loved Clear History. I haven’t seen Sour Grapes and the Woody Allen movie he was in was lame. Otherwise, I have loved every single episode of C

This last season was so solid, it completely soared over my head that his legal trouble in the first episode would culminate with a do-over of the terrible Seinfeld finale. Even watching the episode, hearing him talk about how he’s never learned a lesson—it all seemed so on-brand for Larry, I missed the obvious setup.

It was by no means a return to the highs of the early seasons, but I thought Season 12 was consistently funnier and had bigger laughs than the last two or three seasons (which also suffered from Larry repeating jokes and revisiting ideas). And for that reason alone, I appreciate LD for bringing the show back to go out

Funnily enough, right before watching the Curb finale, I watched the Girls5Eva finale, featuring Richard Kind talking about how he’s in everything.

Jake Tapper did a CNN newscast in 3 Body Problem on Netflix.

Has Larry (at least the “Larry” he plays on Curb) ever been repentant?

The ads here are awful. A blocker is essential

All I know is that the AV Club is impossible to browse on a phone.

Jerry Seinfeld showing up was something I had no idea I wanted. He brought a bolt of energy to the finale, and his interactions with Larry were hilarious.

So please tell me who you will be voting for this November?

I wouldn’t say he’s announcing it. Someone asks Brad Pitt what flavour ice cream he likes, and he shrugs and says “Mint chocolate chip”. BRAD PITT LOVES HIS MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP!!!! I’m not suggesting you’re unfamiliar with the media, but a certain level of fame yields this kind of everyday thing, and choosing to stay

He’s not really “announcing” it. It’s not like he called a press conference to say he wasn’t making an endorsement. He got asked a question in an interview.

FWIW, I can’t pick on the guy for this.  I’m perfectly happy to never have to know what any given celebrity thinks about politics ever again.  And, as Michael

“a fucking terrible person” for ... voting in a presidential election? Supporting any of the viable major candidates? Are all 155M americans who voted in 2020 fucking terrible people, or is that mostly you?

Not really “lesser of two evils”. More like one evil and one that is just kind of disappointing but ultimately won’t destroy everything.

I mean, it's possible to endorse a candidate and make it clear you disagree with them on some stances tho?

Lesser of two evils.
