One thing to keep an eye on.
I would “Walk This Way” “To The Other Side” “If That’s What It Takes” to restore this van. Call me “Crazy” but “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”. “Dude” “This thing can “Come Together” with “Sweet Emotion” if we can get Steven Tyler “Back In The Saddle” of this old ride. Maybe I’m “Jaded” by “The Same Old Song and Dance”…
I mean, it wouldn’t really REPLACE banks, it would mainly supplement those who don’t have ready access to a local branch, which when they abolished postal banking, local branches were practically everywhere. Now that they’ve fled poorer and rural areas, we can reinstate postal banking again to at the very least…
Ohhhhh I finally get it. He never wanted to drain the swamp. He just wanted to move it to the Everglades.
Thank you, I couldn’t remember which news-comedian already did this! It is such a great idea.
You’re a batter man than I, Gunga Din. I would have lost it.
Did we, though? He lost the popular vote.
I do like both, but if I had to pick one, it’d definitely be postal banking. It would be easier and faster to implement because the basic infrastructure is already in place. Plus, the lower fees at the post office MIGHT force the ATM companies to lower their own fees cos why use the corner bodega’s $4 machine when the…
Agree with this. Just found out how screwed up my neighbor is the other day when he let a racist comment “slip” and then looked at me for encouragement or something. I tried to remain calm and told him I was really disappointed in him. I’m not surprised, I am in the middle of a Red state but i was hoping there was…
Yes. I think our country would be entirely different if people had to vote, no if, and or but about it. It's too easy to stay home unless there's something in it for you, you, you.
For fuck’s sake. A lobbying group buying ad space to influence the tv-addicted president... This is satire. This is not real life. This is an MFA student’s narrative experiment. This is not a thing that happens in a real world with real consequences and real adult human beings making real decisions that affect the…
Millions of non-Republican voters weren’t going to vote for Hillary no matter what she said. They just didn’t like or trust her. It sucks, but that was the reality.
I voted for Hillary and I think she would have been a pretty damn good President, but let’s not pretend that she was a passionate advocate for things like single payer healthcare, or even gun control. On all of these issues she was left of center, but always took care to stay within the realm of what moderate…
The thing about centrism is that it does appeal in countries where there is compulsory voting. But since there’s no compulsory voting cause it would encroach on your ~freedom, elections can be fought by appealing to certain sections of the population and eliminating certain voters through things like voter ID laws.…
My understanding is part of the point was to get some of the bikes out of the city (although maybe not this way). When bike-shares were approved last year, five (I think) companies came in and flooded the area with what turned out to be way too many bikes for the market. By most accounts, they cluttered up sidewalks…
The company does not need to repair the bikes to donate them. Many bike advocacy groups are more than happy to take broken bikes. We use them to teach kids how to understand repairs. 20% of this pile could have been dismantled for parts to put the other 80% back on the road for no money. This is nothing but shameful…
