I was thirteen. It was a nasty piece of history that should not be forgotten.

The Jonestown mass murder/suicide is where the phrase “Drink the Kool-Aide” came from when refering to believing something without critical thought.

Usually it’s the first consciously and the second subconsciously.

Drive a drinker and ride a sipper.

Castor and the other one are the lawyers he wound up with when the unscrupulous and scummy ones quit the case.

It’s pretty funny that the dude can’t get good lawyers, but it’s not critical.

Yup.

He expected to intimidate the person waiting on him, who is obviously lesser than him because service job, duh, and get his way even though he was wrong.

What’s the difference between a degree on the wall an ten years doing stuff and making stuff in a job shop? I’d argue that BOTH have value. A workshop weekend between the two would probably be an awesome party!

What are the proud boys afraid of?

The guy is building car factories and rocket factories, not cars and rockets.

Add jet skis with machine guns and I’m in!

The first three apartments I rented in Miami Beach had zero provision for heat. It was a foreign concept. Well, one had a space heater built into the wall in the bathroom.

Lots of talk about reddit tonight. I’d just remind everyone that

Found an Amarylis bulb in the dumpster at my condos four years ago.

Pharmacists are under-appreciated.

And the occasional weird gem like the dude who dresses up as a gecko and does a call-in advice show.

As a US person I scan the headlines at CNN and The Guardian and apply my own mental filter. Works for me.

“Barfing” can be cathartic, and I miss it. There’s a reason that the “bad news” makes the headlines. It makes us point a finger at ourselves and our elected officials. Add some Florida man and real world people helping people for LOLs.
