So, in other words, on the small, early space missions, we want people well suited for nuclear submarine duty. Being stuck in metal tubes for many months on end, as nuclear submariners are, has certain mental and social requirements.

It may never have any real world application and that's not the point. Science is not about making gadgets for people or, at best, it's only incidentally about making gadgets for people. Science is first, foremost and only about understanding how the universe works.

Aside from blood lab values, most of these test can already be done in the home with inexpensive devices. To me, these devices are just Web Md taken to the next level. Yes, it may provide a benefit for some people, but it's not going to replace traditional diagnostic tests for a while.

In some ways they are praising the artist's idea of reproducing these covers in this fashion, but most of them seem to be praising what the content evokes, which this artist had absolutely nothing to do with except for the fact that he chose
