Makes sense. I’ve thought for awhile that he’ll surprise the heck out of us one day with a genuinely great performance, but if he keeps picking meh directors it’s not gonna happen.

Marvel needs to step it up already if they’re going to be hiring actors this good. They straight-up squandered Hopkins and Elba, but they could sorta dodge that as those weren’t good movies anyway; this is a main character.

Well, yeah and no. The problem with Captain Marvel is thst she doesn’t remotely grow as a character during the course of the movie. Brie is a fantastic actress and that movie isn’t up to her even kind of.

I don’t really post here, but this feels like as good a place as any to complain about Shameless and the corner its painted most of its characters into.

I kinda hate randomly popping up here, but it’s not terribly surprising if you played Titanfall 2; of the five good guys who have plot relevancy, 2 are female and they’re both in leadership spots. The bad guys have two as well, one of which is the final boss in the game.
