I wonder what the CEP is estimated to be.

There was an abrupt change that came to titles when Rogoway left.

Isn’t the B-3 covering down on both B-52 & B-2 missions? That was the impression I had.

Drop the sensationalist headlines, too. It’s ridiculous-sounding.

This. A TV box needs a TV UI and plenty of good apps, and most of all not be something you have to think about maintaining. I love my PC but sticking it under the television isn’t something I’m inclined to do.

Yeah, a mid design phase change to enable it to be able to fly low level (for some reason...that doesn’t even make sense with it’s original mission of hunting down mobile ICBMs) wasn’t the best idea.

That, and the name goes back an extremely long time: CV-6 was the seventh vessel to bear that name.

An eagle fucks up you if you’re small and dumb enough to be out in the open, too ;P

No, that’s just how Army nomenclature works: The M1 rifle, carbine, and submachine gun were all different *types* of weapon and we were trying to get away from the year of introduction system (IE M1918 BAR, M1903 Springfield, Colt M1911, etc).

Not with the gun, no. It’s calibrated and specifically angled for a2a. You could try and hit things on the ground with it, but good luck basically :p

What, gigantic radar signatures? :p

The SDB has a CEP (circular error probable, the distance from exact aiming point) of 5-8m. The GAU-8 has a CEP of 40.

Well, you know. All CAS aircraft since WW2 have been completely ineffective except the A-10.

To give some perspective, there’s about 30 million lines of code in Word. So it’s not a gigantic amount.

They started ditching armor on planes with the B29 during the fire bombing missions over Japan. Less armor and defensive armament=better range and offensive payload.

Yeah, airplanes are mostly aluminum.

The (original, British) justification for STOVL was that the airfields would be gone on day one of a war with the Soviets. Admittedly, so would every else too, but I guess the RAF would’ve conquered Moscow by themselves or something :p

lol, no. I’d be impressed with anything from China outdoing an ACOG or m68 for durability.

I think the exclusions for women have a lot to do with the rape problem, tbh.

The US does lag pretty badly in numbers of child soldiers, you know.
