He’ll probably have to be hunted down “Alien” style by a team of special forces troops after Trump’s term is up. He isn’t going to leave voluntarily, and he’s probably going to escape into the HVAC system even if the next President fumigated the WH.

I think Jared still stares vacantly even when other people are talking to him. He does make a concerted and frequently successful effort to stop licking his own eyeballs with his frighteningly long tongue though, which is commendable.

I actually don’t know if she can speak.

Eh, she has bills to pay, presumably. Retiring at age 25 is not really an option for most folks. Working for Trump was a horrible mistake, but at this point all she can do is steer into the skid — either returning or going on “wingnut welfare” (talking head jobs on Fox or in some worthless right wing think tank).

My understanding is that the scenes where you can’t see him with the camera are shot BY that camera (eg when they zoom in on a computer monitor).

The challenge with shadowy groups wielding secret influence is that there is no way to evaluate the quality of their ideas, or even confirm what their ideas actually are. They are shielded from accountability, since they can make governmental decisions without answering to elected officials or facing the voters or

Jones doesn’t have a problem with shadowy government conspiracies, he’s just bitter that those conspiracies are not focused enough on killing minorities.

They don’t even care about soldiers at war. Remember when the Bush-Era Pentagon decided to skimp on body armor for tens of thousands of soldiers in combat?

Exactly. Just giving away the second largest federal agency to a bunch of random yahoos at a country club for FREE!? What is he, a Marxist?

Their argument is basically this:

Hmm, the idea of rich old white guys with no experience and no accountability secretly running the government seems unlikely to me.

The media is obsessed with turning every Democratic primary into Clinton vs Sanders regardless of the history or the actual positions of the people running.

I agree with what she’s saying, but yeah I’m getting a little tired of unproductive Dem infighting. Ultimately, every candidate and every race is different; we might be pulling towards the same broad goals but it’s sort of silly to insist that every candidate be the same.

Jeez, I wonder what these rejected Trump policies entailed? Like, was Trump planning to personally visit migrant child shelters with an axe, Freddy Krueger style?

If he could get out of the embassy and roam around freely as her, why would he go back? Doesn’t add up IMHO.

You can find shitty men outside of the Ecuadorian embassy in the UK. Just trust me on that one. She had to go out of her way to meet this guy.

Its sad, but not surprising. Trump has created a situation where employers are less willing to consider these applicants because they are one appeal away from losing their right to work.

I believe the Geneva Accords would prevent any signatory from doing something that cruel to the embassy staff.

Trump or Hitler?

I always assumed (without a shred of evidence) that Anderson was like one of those serial killer pen pal type of people. For her, what made Assange appealing was that he was “locked up” (sorta) and a “bad guy”. Can their relationship survive him being out?
