@oogabubchub: well, that's only half of it. personally, I only really "tweet" for people I know irl. the people I follow are what actually make it useful, be it news, or what have you. Basically, if you find an RSS feed useful, than twitter pretty much can be a pretty similar thing, albeit with an Instant messenger…

I like when I'm at school and a tweet pops up on Tweetdeck, and someone who is a clear twitter hater says "oh cool, what is that?"

@freedo50: considering it was an experimental flight, I doubt putting experimental apparatus would have been a good idea, in the event of the launch going wrong.
