It sounds like we have a lot in common! Wing was also where I first learned of Gundam via Toonami and it really opened my eyes. I had model kits, posters, shirts, everything (especially Heavyarms/Deathscythe/Epyon). Then the UC series came to Toonami and blew me away. I really latched on to the realistic, serious

Don't forget the hundreds and hundreds of medications, with the full rainbow of worrying potential side effects!

I'm always fascinated by those huge bins of miscellaneous DVDs. I wonder how they found their way to this end point. Were they sitting on a Best Buy shelf for a few years before being shipped off? Sometimes they're just the discs in sleeves with no plastic cases.

Totally agreed. When I go back to read the series again, I'm going to particularly savor the stuff from Old Nan and Luwin. Not just for the world building, but for allusions in their stories to important characters (The Night's King, for instance).

They went great with L.A. Looks hair care products!

Yeah, I had co-workers breathlessly talking it up and encouraging us all to watch it. Oh, that Sheldon is at it again!

The long-awaited return of Lil' Gary on Comedy Bang Bang!

Yeah, I remember being pretty stunned by SC on Dreamcast, and II took it to another level of polish. I stuck with the series through V, though it never reached the same heights. The create-a-character mode was a cool addition, at least.

Damn, Weapon Master was harder than I remembered. I had to play it to unlock characters on this new save and had a rough time with some of the stages. Getting stomped over and over. I wasn't able to unlock Lizardman yet, unfortunately.

I spent my Friday afternoon train ride home reading a wiki about Alien Resurrection and the newborn xenomorph. That sure was weirder than I remembered.

I prefer Mighty Joe Jon, the black blonde.

Played a ton of Soulcalibur II with my sister on Friday night. Man, it held up incredibly well! I was shocked at how great it looked and played after so many years - I hadn't touched it in over a decade.

I hear ya on the runtime. This episode with Eddie Pepitone was around 2:15:00 long.

Yeah, I was very pleasantly surprised. I hope that he gets Rory Scovel or James Adomian on soon, since those were my favorite guests by far.

I listened to an episode of The Todd Glass Show for the first time in a while. Eddie Pepitone was the guest - part one of three to celebrate the 300th episode. It was fun - it brought me back to a few years ago, when Todd's podcast was absolutely required listening for me and Eddie's rants were filling my ears on The

I still want to know what the hell is up with Quaithe and the prophecies. That part always intrigued me.

I'm seeing Aaron Paul in old person makeup.

I need to watch more of it. I'm a huge Always Sunny fan, and I really enjoyed the episode of The Mick that I caught. It got a few actual LOLs out of me, which doesn't happen often with new sitcoms.

haha I was waiting for a reply to the original post because I was kinda looking forward to nerding out for a sec and making some recommendations. Looks like you more than covered it in your summaries!

I would need a full re-read, I think, before diving into a new installment. There are so many details that I've forgotten in the last few years, and tons of things that the show changed or did before the books.
