DVD sales by that point.

I first recognized him as the crackhead in The Sopranos who approaches Tony's car when Tony takes AJ to look at the houses he bought for his HUD scam.

Hmm, an image of McAfee with "maxres" in the file name … this can't end well.

Scarf

That was compelling and also pretty terrifying. He was brazenly courting gang members for his personal army, intimidating and murdering people, and throwing around money left and right to keep it all quiet. Allegedly.

I finally watched this and it was immediately forgettable. "Trying way too hard" was my girlfriend's summation, which seemed right on point. It's constantly smashing you over the head with the music cues, in particular. Margot Robbie was about the only thing that stood out, so all of the attention that she received

I just watched Suicide Squad this weekend and was rolling my eyes at the music. Just the most obvious, heavy-handed choices. Trying way too hard at every turn. "If a few scenes set to popular songs are fun, why not do 27 of them?!"'

The dog drops a ton of n-bombs.

At least someone is preserving the sanctity of the canon. Thank you for your service.

Man, over 25 years old now (1991) and the animation still looks excellent! I love 0083. Great opening, too. I think I might be partial to the cheese of the original series opening - that Japanese vibrato is just too good.

Sure, I'm happy to help. There are a few ways that I could answer that question. Are you turned off by late 70s/early 80s style anime, with sometimes crappier production values? Are you only into crisp looking, modern anime?

My immediate reaction was "this kid's a turd."

I never made it that far into an episode, but it sounds interesting. I'll see if we can stomach it.

Yeah, I started looking into that whole thing with Robotech's origin international rights, etc. and just gave up. 08th MS Team and 0083 blew it out of the water anyway.

She gets a few kids, from what I remember. Hijinks ensue.

I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY

The other Frank scene that really gets me is when he decides to get real weird with it. He's standing on a sidewalk talking with Mac about Gail the Snail. He lets out this horrendous, guttural burp and then start gurgling up the beer he just drank, with it drooling down his face to end the scene. So gross and perfect

I should probably check it out again some time to see it with adult eyes. I'm sure I'd appreciate the craft that went into making something so visceral and revolting.

Right. Yeah.

It's a thinker!
